Our Proprietory blends, Multi-Application and Martial Arts Remedial Oils.
There are two blends of Remedial Oil that we make as you will have noticed by now.
We affectionately call them "First Aid in a Bottle".
In effect you can quickly reduce swelling and discomfort, quickly repair damage and guard against infection when using our products on injuries and recuring complaints where many other products do not.
When we were originally experienting with suitable formulas, our Multi-Application blend was the first we made, that is, the first one we decided to keep after experimenting with various formulas over a period of a year or so.
In Kung Fu, like any Martial Art, you get out what you put in. I was fortunate in that my first instructor was all about the fighting elements of the art and hard training drills. Anyone that trains a Chinese Martial Art will understand the pain felt from a well executed Gaun Sau (Spliting arm) and sore forearms from endless guard changing exercises or the multitude of training injuries that can be sustained in sparring or training in general.
During the early stages of testing, I began to notice how quickly cuts and bruises were healing. Infected wounds like animal or thorn scratches would quickly dry up and stop being painful, however due to the severity of the injuries I sustained from heavy conditioning, I felt the oils needed something more to provide even deeper healing.
I used to roll glass bottles up and down my shins, hitting them repeatedly to deaden nerve endings and harden the bone. I built something I dubbed the shin-breaker that held multiple sections of pallet wood vertically to practise breaking. I spent hours punching sand, gravel and eventually steel balls and walls to condition my knuckles. The brusing was always bone deep so whilst external bruises would be gone quickly, the discomfort was deeper set, particularly as I have a 6" steel plate in one forearm.
Hours of drills promoting muscle memory cause severe joint and muscle pain, spasms and cramps whilst previous unrelated injury can cause issues when training in any sports.
I met a world record holder back in 2015 who secretly had an elbow issue. Having had surgery on one he was dreading having his other done. After the first few days of use he rang to tell me he was already feeling the benefits, after several weeks he felt surgery was no longer going to be necessary.
Martial Arts Remedial Oil is very slightly different from Multi-Application Remedial Oil in that there are one or two additional ingredients used to provide the extra zing or deep healing effects required for the most serious or long standing injuries.
Comfrey or Knit-Bone as it once once referred to is one of these ingredients as is Black Pepper and Francinsense. The result, is that this Remedial Oil blend can be used for any injury or condition plus more specifically be effective protection when using wall bags, Makiwara or practicing Iron Palm. It enables practitioners to harden skin, bone, muscle and tendon without debilitating build ups of damaged tissue or unsightly callous'. Increased blood circulation encourages removal of microscopic particles via the lyphatic system instead of becoming trapped, rapid recovery from swelling and any discomfort allows training to resume quickly.
We recommend Martial Arts Remedial Oil for serious post operatic care, spinal issues, rhumatism, arthritis, joint and ligament trauma. One of my first customers from the USA used to have steroid injections to manage pain, after a year or so of using Martial Arts Remedial Oil he no longer needed treatment. Hip problems, Tennis Elbow, RSI all can be effectively helped by this blend.
Multi-Application Remedial Oil is exactly as it sounds, it can be applied to almost anything externally. It was formulated to be as effective as possible without risking any allergic or reaction due to sensitivity for any skin type or injury including open wounds. It is safe to use directly onto burns, grazes, cuts, sores etc.
It, like the Martial Arts version can also be used for any deep set injury or trauma but over the years we have found it to be most effective for skin and more superficial issues due to the Jasmine used in it's formulation.
Jasmine is an incredible essential oil that encourages skin cell regeneration, complimented by the other ingredients we've had amazing results with reducing infection, irritation, inflammation so we normally recommend this blend for more skin related issues like Acne, Excema, Dermatitis, Psoriasis etc. Insect bites, stings, rashes, burns, broken skin, stretch marks, sunburn and scarring responding quickly, reducing swelling, discomfort and infection whilst adding natural vitamins and minerals to the skin.
TESTED ON ANIMALS!
Over the years we've used our oils and cream on just about everything and everybody. Being a family of pet lovers and animal owners we've also used it on them too, knowing how natural it is plus we wouldn't put anything on them we wouldn't use ourselves.
Here's an idea of what we've used it on.
Cats, Chickens, Dogs, Ducks, Geese, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Horses, Iguana, Pigs, Snakes. I'm sure there are some I've forgotten about but it's just so handy to have a go to when something unexpected happens.
Animals are unpredictable so as well as applying it to them, when they bite, scratch, stamp or charge for no reason or by accident we've often all had a few drops rubbed in!
Sometimes we find some people just prefer using one oil blend to others. There are olfactory benefits/effects when using our oils so as we are all different, you may prefer the smell or sensation of one over the other, either can be diluted in warm water such as a bath or foot spa and are absorbed by the skin readily.
